Revs. Tino Herrera and Scott Grotewold will lead this trip along the Civil Rights trail, with visits to Memphis, Jackson, Selma, Montgomery, and Birmingham.

Registration Overview

Registering for Trinity's Civil Rights Trip from Oct. 4-10, 2026, is a two-step process:

  • Complete the registration form by clicking the button below or submitting a paper form in person during worship.
  • Submit a $350 payment for the non-refundable registration fee, either online (online payments are subject to a 2.5% transaction fee) or via other methods (no fees!) detailed below.

    • Cost of the Trip

    • The total trip cost of $1,350/person is based on 2 people sharing a room.
    • If you prefer to room by yourself, your total trip cost will be $1,800.
    • A 3rd or 4th traveler can stay in the same room with you, though there will be no extra beds or roll-aways available. A 3rd or 4th person staying in the same room will cost $500 per person, rather than $1,350.

    Payment Schedule

    • Registration should be accompanied with a non-refundable $300 fee.
    • May 1 payment
      • $500 for shared room
      • $725 for single room
      • $75 for 3rd/4th traveler in room
    • September 1 payment
      • $500 for shared room
      • $725 for single room
      • $75 for 3rd/4th traveler in room

    ***Please note: if you choose to pay online, payment amounts will be 2.5% higher to cover online processing fees.***

    Additional Payment Options

    Checks should be made out to Trinity UMC with the note: Civil Rights Trip and put in the offering, left with the church office, or mailed to the church at 620 E. Armour Blvd., KCMO, 64109.
