The Lord's Table
First & Second Saturdays | at Trinity
The Lord’s Table began as a vision by like-minded individuals moved by their compassion to help people in need. For well over 30 years, The Lord’s Table has existed as a community outreach ministry focused on providing delicious and nutritious meals to anyone and everyone in a comfortable, safe, and uplifting environment. Prior to the pandemic, patrons enjoyed nutritious meals and companionship in the dining hall of Trinity United Methodist Church. Donations from Hy-Vee and Price Chopper have allowed us to supplement meals with bread and deserts. Due to COVID concerns, The Lord’s Table is presently packing to-go lunches for its patrons.
The Lord’s Table relies on a team of passionate and faithful volunteers who provide their time on the first two Saturdays of each month. This group is self-funded and does not rely on Harvesters. Prior to the pandemic, one volunteer picked up donations every weekend from Hy-Vee and Price Chopper grocery stores.
The mission of The Lord’s table is to help individuals who need sustenance for both body and soul. We look forward to the day when patrons can return to the dining hall to enjoy both food and companionship. At the end of the day, we take pride in what we do and hope our desire to help others benefits the community.
